Community Visits/ In- Room Visitors

Visits have no time limits ( we prefer 2-hour visits with only two visitors at a time). Visitors must arrive during front desk hours of operation:

  • Monday – Friday 7:30 am -6:30 pm
  • Saturday-Sunday 8:30 am- 5:00 pm

Requirements each visit:

  • You must have your vaccine status on your phone from the State verification site at myvaccinerecord@cdph.ca.gov and present a picture id at the time of check in.
  • Proof of a negative COVID test within one day for antigen test or within 2 days for a PCR test result if you are not vaccinated. Your negative test result will give you the right to visit for the next 3 consecutive days.
  • Complete screening/check-in and temperature check at the front desk (mounted wall iPad) before entering the community.
  • Everyone who enters the building must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth even while in the resident’s apartment (our preference) at all times during your visit. Masks are needed for all movement throughout the community. We promote social distancing of 6 feet.
  • Once checked in you can visit as long as you like, but no moving around the building. Remain in the apartment. Visits are held in the resident’s room.
  • Visitors must be screened in at the front desk and then go straight to the Resident’s room, avoiding all common areas. Common areas are any areas where other residents congregate (Family Room, Dining Room, and Chapel).
  • The Courtyard is now open for families to visit, however please be mindful and stay spaced away from other visiting families.

Who We Are

Independent Living

Let’s not sugar coat it….Nobody really wants to leave their home and you think you are doing just fine living on your own. Yet changes are happening.  Maybe you don't like to drive after dark because it is getting harder to see or maybe you are tired of cooking so you are eating less or skipping meals altogether.  These are the beginning signs that life alone at home is not as wonderful as it once was.  Now is the time to make a decision about what happens next rather than fate or family deciding for you.  Mercy McMahon would love to speak with you about how you can still live independently in your own apartment, but receive some day-to-day luxuries that could improve your life and health.  Housekeeping, chef prepared meals, and even someone to change your sheets every week, would truly make daily life a little easier!

Social

Assisted Living

With licensed nurses on staff 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Mercy McMahon Terrace has the depth of resources in Assisted Living to respond appropriately to our residents’ changing health and care needs.

When you need some help with services, a caregiver will come to assist you with whatever activities of daily living you need.

Your Assisted Living care plan includes what help you may need with grooming, dressing, transfers, reminders, toileting, or special treatments.

Each person who moves into Assisted Living, receives an emergency call button that radios our caregivers who are on-site to help you.

With nurses on site 24 hours a day, we can help with glucose checks, injections, and INR testing.

Our caring staff provides exceptional end-of-life care for those on hospice and we can provide total care for those who are bedbound.

Memory Care

June's Place is the neighborhood within our community designated for memory care.  It is a home designed for those whose needs can best be met in a specialized smaller setting. Struggling with dementia can wear away at one's spirit creating anxiety.  June's Place creates a small family environment with caregivers orchestrating the day, making life easier.

Spiritual Support

Spiritual Support

The heart of what we do at Mercy McMahon Terrace is not just taking care of the physical needs of our residents, but taking care of their spiritual well being as well. We are a faith-based assisted living community. To that end, there are spiritual services available our residents, regardless of their individual religious affiliation.  We have a Sister of Mercy Chaplain on staff and offer weekly Catholic Mass in our Chapel and much more.  We also offer Reflections for those who want an on-line lift.
