Dear friends and family of our community, You most likely know Stan Atkinson from his long and respected career as a beloved Sacramento reporter and news anchor. During that time, Stan also devoted his energy and leadership to the Sisters of Mercy in Sacramento–furthering their mission of feeding the hungry, educating the under-resourced, sheltering the homeless, and caring for the sick at local Dignity Health hospitals and clinics. Stan has recently found comfort and care here at Mercy McMahon Terrace, a Sisters’ supported ministry. In his gratitude, he is leading a fundraising effort to support our warm and welcoming senior living community. Stan says, “I’ve had a blessed life in Sacramento and would like to help strengthen the Sisters’ mission one last time. They bring quality health care, plus offer education and shelter, especially for the vulnerable and underserved. Their support of the sick, unhoused, hungry, and elderly has never faltered. What a blessing they have been – and are – to our Sacramento region.” To learn how to make a tax-deductible gift of any amount to Mercy Foundation, which raises funds for Mercy McMahon Terrace, please visit https://supportmercyfoundation.org/joinstan.
